We are going towards the business end of Indian T20 Cricket League 7 as the race for the four playoff spots is heating up. T20 Cricket League 7 is
gearing up for a flamboyant finish. The playoff format is :
- The top two teams will play Qualifier 1: winner goes directly to final and loser gets a chance to play winner of Eliminator.
- The Eliminator will be between teams at 3rd and 4th spot in the league points table: winner will play loser of Qualifier 2.
- The Winner of Qualifier 2 will play in Final against Winner of Qualifier 1.
- So, the top 2 teams of league table have more chance to reach Final.
Punjab T20 and Chennai T20 are at the top to spots right now and sure of berth in playoffs. Let us have a look at teams and what they need to qualify.

Punjab T20: Points: 18 | Matches left: 3 | Opponents: Mumbai T20, Rajasthan T20, Delhi T20,
Punjab are most likely to at Top 2 spots. But if they lose their all 3 remaining matches, they may creep to 3rd or 4th spot. It will need extraordinary effort from the opposition to beat them, since the team is powered packed with Maxwell, Miller and Bailey.
Chennai T20: Points: 16 | Matches left: 3 | Opponents: Kolkata T20, Hyderabad T20, Bangalore T20
If they win atleast one or two matches, Chennai go through to playoffs. Looking at their record as the end of season come upon, they are sure to qualify for playoffs. If they win two matches, they will end up in Top 2 spots.
Rajasthan T20: Points: 14 | Matches left: 2 | Opponents: Mumbai T20, Punjab T20.
Rajasthan need to win at both their last 2 games to be in Top 4 spots. They have pull off a one of the remaining to hopeful for playoffs.
Kolkata Knight Riders: Points: 12 | Matches left: 3 | Opponents: Chennai T20, Bangalore T20, Hyderabad T20
Kolkata must win two games to make sure they stay in for playoffs. And having look at their last few games form, the team looks to march ahead towards entry into playoff spots. But having tough oppositions might make their way a little bit troublesome.
Bangalore T20: Points: 10 | Matches left: 3 | Opponents: Hyderabad T20, Kolkata T20, Chennai T20
Bangalore stands good chance to qualify if they at all three remaining matches off 5. The side studded with all huge stalwarts of cricket as got a late wake up call to reach playoffs, they will need to show extra effort to move towards upper half before the end of preliminary stage ends.
Mumbai T20: Points: 8 | Matches left: 3 | Opponents: Punjab T20, Delhi T20, Rajasthan T20.
Mumbai the champions last year have not shown any kinf of consistency in their performance and still steadying between mid-table and lower since start of season. And they stand no channce to qualify any further in this season.
Hyderabad T20: Points: 8 | Matches left: 3 | Opponents: Bangalore T20, Chennai T20, Kolkata T20
Hyderabad’s position is similar to that of Mumabi. But even though they manage to win all games, yet they reach 14 points only. But they can become the party spoiler for the other teams along with Mumbai T20.
Delhi T20: Points: 4 | Matches left: 2 | Opponents: Mumbai T20, Punjab T20
Delhi can win the remaining matches as consolation wins to keep their spirits high for next season.
